Over the course of nearly ten years, Soul would be acclaimed for its ingenuity, five-star quality service, and avant-garde branding. The spas were spotlighted in a number of national media outlets, including Essence, People, Allure, The Washingtonian, American Spa, Salon Today, The Washington Post, Upscale, Black Enterprise and the CBS Morning Show to name a few. Soul was featured on the Style Network's reality show, "Ambush Makeover," and earned recognition by the Washington City Paper for "Best Stylist" and "Best Spa." A community champion, Nicole and her team annually partnered with Rachel's Women's Shelter in Washington, D.C. to provide complimentary services to residents. Having come full circle in her exciting professional journey, Nicole currently blends her entrepreneurial, business, and legal prowess to offer a distinct suite of services as the Principal Managing Partner of Cober Johnson & Romney. This was an amazing story of a woman who was not afraid of keeping it real and being true to her readers and herself! In this amazing book, the author is saying to her readers..."Look, I'm a normal woman like you who has faced so much adversity, pressure and stress more than most people experience in a lifetime, yet in every situation I became stronger, wiser and better...and YOU Can TOO!" I love that she laughs at herself, points out some bad decisions in an attempt to help guide another woman from going down the "wrong path." Yet, she demonstrates that even if you do make those wrong decisions, there is always a way out and to get back on top! This book is humbling, honest, comical, encouraging, uplifting and REAL! The author, Nicole, makes you feel like you are actually sitting across the table from a girlfriend while laughing and crying at the same time!!! It's more than a self help of how to start a business, it's showing you how to re-start your LIFE! It's a MUST Read!

Prepare to Take an Inspiring Journey

This book touched me in so many ways. The author had the courage to open up her life and share her journey laden with mistakes, setbacks, failures and ultimately love, to reach into the world of so many facing the same struggles. She is an inspiration but more importantly she is us, every one of us who has a dream that is deferred, a heart that is broken and a soul that is delivered. This is a must read that you won't put down and when you finally finish you will be renewed.

I initially ordered this book after interviewing the author for my blog. The free excerpt had me hooked. I appreciated that it was so transparent. It said to me "Hey we misstep, we mess up, we make mistakes...sometimes repeatedly and it's ok as long as we GROW and we know." If a book was ever written to help you feel "less stupid", to help you stop beating yourself up over your past and push you onward to your destiny then this was it.
