Very Pleased.

Very pleased with this resource. It surprisingly is a decent read. The material it entails will never be a "fun" read; however, it is quite easy to read the material. Would definitely recommend purchasing it in two books rather than the larger one. The two halves themselves are bulky and I could not imagine carrying the bulky one along with my other belongings. A great resource and plan to keep it for years to come. Recommended.

Multi Volume Sets - Buyer Beware

When searching for this product, I used the ISBN which matched the required text exactly, except for one critical detail...the description was not accurate. The anticipated "2-Volume Set" I ordered was not what was delivered, instead what I received was only the volume #2 of a 2-Vol Set. Obviously, that leaves me searching for volume #1 which I have still not found leaving me with the option to return the book at my cost and repurchase a complete set at a higher price. So, buyer beware...DO NOT assume the description of the product is what you are actually getting!

Do not get this book if you want to learn anything about nursing

This book has many problems, but the biggest one is organization. Rather than explaining each topic individually in a systematic manner, they will take an entire topic such as "renal" and then jump around from topic to topic within renal in different sections. For instance, they will explain "pathophysiology" and include both acute renal failure and then explain chronic. Then they will go to "pharmacology" and explain acute and then chronic. Then they will go to "nursing diagnoses" for both of them together, rather than explain each topic individually. The result is that someone who is not familiar with the subject (i.e., most beginning rn students) will become very mixed up a confused, as well as not having a clear idea about what information is important vs what is "fluff".
The online program that comes with the book is just awful. Technical support will keep you on the phone for hours and there are many problems to call them about. The test keys are wrong, case studies fail to appear, students would get locked out periodically for no reason. All of which can be very frustrating especially if you are doing the assignments for a grade.
I would never recommend to any one in any circumstances to buy this book. In fact I think reading it at all will only serve to confuse you even more.
