A popular college professor who married a wealthy college beau, at 27 Bacci seemed to have it all. But her success suddenly vanished with the emergence of a nameless disease that stole her vitality and left her mysteriously incapacitated. For three years, she was treated by every doctor she could find, until she realized that healing would come only from inside herself. Leaving her marriage and career behind, Bacci embarked on a quest for self-transformation through meditation and yoga. Focusing primarily on bodywork, Bacci spends the bulk of this self-help manual teaching the "inner arts" that she asserts are not just neglected, but discouraged in our culture, "stifling the ultimate source of our sense of fulfillment." effortlessly learn the secrets to a healthier life

This book was part of a workshop preparation. I recognized my own life's journey in the authors journey and felt it read my lifestory. The way she breaks it down into easy to read and understand chapters for the reader who may not have had experiences to this extend but is ready to make a change to live "effortless" and learn the "secrets" that our society unfortunately does not teach us in school (wouldn't it be amazing?) Is what made me reorder the book for my clients.-

Powerhouse

This book is a powerhouse. It describes how we effort so much, logically takes us through what needs to be done and provides very practical strategies for achieving effortless living (and much more). I'm reading it for the second time and realizing the wealth of information there is in this book. Go slowly and absorb each chapter. I wish I had read this when I was working. Maybe I wouldn't have burned out my adrenals. I am giving this book to my daughter and friends.

Live in Ease, To avoid disease

Ingrid's book is about learning to live your life from an inner place. A place that allows you to access your inner wisdom and get in touch with feelings and feeling your body. She talks about how we have gotten to a place of stress in our lives and informs us on how to let go of that. She mentions the fact that not only are our minds, thought and actions so stiff and so frozen, but it also effects our health.
I highly recommend this book it is a jewel and will guide you on a new path of effortless living that brings joy and well being into each moment. I hope that she writes another book, her input and the way she writes is like listening to a dear friend who has your best interest in mind. Awesome book, I have highlighted it and will treasure it and go back to it for inspiration many times.
